October 13 I am free I am free !
In the days of my youth
I went my own way,
I did my own thing
and had my own say .
As I got older
things changed in my life-
I married,had children,
became mother and wife.
Things weren't always easy during those years...
I lost friends and family
and shed many tears .
I searched for the reason and meaning of life- then I heard God, in the midst of my strife
I asked Him to help me,
and show me the way.
I prayed and He listened to what I did say.
I knew that God loved me ,
and that I loved Him..
He rescued and saved me from a lifetime of sin.
My life's still not perfect,then ,why should it be !
But I'm walking with Jesus
and now I am free.

God's plan for our salvation
December 20 Christmas is for givingAt Christmastime Lord Jesus
we celebrate Your birth ,and bring to mind Your coming
to give us peace on earth.
We decorate the Christmas tree
and buy our Christmas food-and go to church and worship
to put us 'in the mood'
But what of those in other lands
with food in short supply-and even if they had the money
there's nothing there to buy !
Of what use is a Christmas tree
if you haven't any food ,and where can these people go
to put them in the mood .
Christmas is for giving...
so to who are we going to give -to those who already have ...
or to those who need gifts to live .
So, as we celebrate Your birth
let us give thought to others and remember those in far off lands
are also our Christian brothers .
Jesus came for everyone
not just for the few who can afford the trimmings
to have a Christmas do !

an on-going part in the cicle of time
giving life a reason .
What season are YOU at in life
do you really know -
if God came to take you now
what would you have to show ....
Have you used time wisely or has it been ill met
if you hear God's call today are you ready yet !

saturday 30th september ....
I didn't pass :-(
only got 6 minor faults....( you can have as many as 15 of these and still pass ! ) but went too far past a temp. traffic stop triangle on a country road and got a serious fault :-(
the traffic could get through but I had most of the car in front of the sign instead of behind it !
grrrrrr... stupid or what ....
.I'm going to need your prayers and support all over again next time .

September 19 talking about crosses
September 07 another poem !monsters in my mind
there's a monster in the corner
in the shadow on the wall...
when daddy comes to look for it
there's nothing there at all !
I hear it now under the bed
behind my box of toys...
when daddy comes to listen
it doesn't make a noise !
now it's in the cupboard
I hear a scratching sound...
of course when my daddy comes
nothing can be found !
daddy says the monster
is only in my mind
and that I can change it
into something nice and kind ...
so when I go to bed tonight
in the shadows there will be
friendly little creatures
looking after me !

These verses were written as a children's poem,but then started to think about 'the monsters ' in my own mind ....problems and worries that I take to bed with me...which have the same effect as those childish fears ,that is keeping me from sleep ! August 29 I Miss youI wanted to call you
really it's true
the longer I left it
the more I missed you .
I thought if I waited
that you would call me ...
but that didn't happen,
it wasn't to be
what's really important
is that we meet
and sort out our friendship
that once was so sweet.
we all have our faults ,
that's just how things are -
our friendship's too precious
for any fault to mar...
no one is perfect
and let's not forget
we all say and do things we later regret ...
so let's make an effort ,we've been long apart
we'll ask God to help us to make a fresh start.

Whilst going around spaces and typing comments I often miss letters out of words...one I noticed made me stop and think ...the word was praying. Without the 'a' it becomes prying ! we know we can pray for someone without all the details... but seeing how easy it was to change pray to pry made me realise how important it is not to 'pry' into peoples lives while praying for them .Our Lord already knows the details ..we just have to
bring people before Him in prayer :-)

night is here at last
shadows of the evening
steal across my past
thinking of another day
and other places too
Lord be with me as I pray
and bring my thoughts to You
my mind is wandering far away
to things that I have done
please bring me back into the place,
with You,where I belong
You are my strength and comfort Lord
my resting place also
I know that You are with me
wherever I may go
You're with me in the morning
as day begins anew...
You're with me in the daytime
in all I say and do
but most of all You're with me
when the evening's here...
then I can be alone with You
and share my every fear

May 31 Knowing You are there ,darkness of evening and noises far away,traffic buzzing doors slamming,end of the day.
stillness and peace as day turns to night ,as I prepare for bed I turn on the light.
artificial light floods around the room,banishes the darkness
drives away the gloom
then I bow before Your throne
and come to You in prayer...
by the power of Your Spirit I know You are there.
darkness of evening and noises far away ,now it's time to share with You the troubles of today.
stillness and peace as day turns to night
trusting in You Father to put things right
by the power of Your Spirit knowing You are there
praising You and thanking You for Your love and care .

All around us we can see
a world that's full of cruelty
where one man fights against another
and has no time for friend or brother.
Even in Your church ,You see
Your very own cannot agree,
we talk about what we should do
instead of coming straight to You.
You watch us, as we go our way
and rarely come to You in prayer.
and when we get into a mess...
You love us MORE instead of less!
if only we could be like You
loving others as You do.
our love will be so plain to see
when we worship at Your knee
and love the ones You send today
instead of turning them away.
Maybe then the world would see
how very different things could be.
This was surely of Your plan..
that man should learn to live with man,
and want to know about You Lord...
to come to You The Living Word.
What a triumph that would be
to stamp out all the cruelty
and conquer sin and Satan now
Only You Lord God know how.

Maundy Thursday
Today is Maundy Thursday .our church celebrated it with a service of Holy Communion tonight and then we took down the banners and stripped the communion table of all the cloths.
April 06 He told me so ....There are many things I do not know,or even understand,
But I know my Father holds me in His ever loving hand.
My father loves me as I am ....
I know ,He told me so
I also know He's changing me....
of this I am now sure.
when I call on Him for help,I'm sure that he is there....
I know it's true,He told me so - He listens to my prayer.
when I'm feeling lonely,I know that He's with me -
I turn to Him for comfort and The love that sets me free,
I know that God is with me wherever I may go-
I know it's true ,it has to be ,
because He told me so.
(This is the first poem that I ever had published )
