August 21 my new camera
I got a new camera :-) I chose it then consulted Gavin ,to make sure it was a decent buy,and then ordered it online to pick up from 'Comet 'at the Kingswood retail park . this is what I bought :- FUJIFILM FINEPIX A 825 :-
I have not had much chance to use it yet but it seems just as 'user friendly 'than my last one ....and cheaper too as prices for digital cameras has dropped considerably since I purchased the last one . Now to get the photos into this'live writer' blog :-) Well,I got the photos onto the blog but could not get it to publish until I removed them ! any ideas on what I am doing wrong ? . August 15 trying out windows live writerAs this is my first time of using this method of posting I thought that 'red for danger' would be a good colour for the font .I am not a happy bunny just now because ,as some of you already know, my digital camera is broken Well I managed to get this to publish ,not sure if I will bother to use it again though as I have no idea what it can do .grrrr ,can't remember how to get photos into the blog ....I think that I need lessons from that friendly little blue fairy *blessings* sandra Well,I got a new camera and blogged on 'live writer'about it and even added some photos ...BUT i cannot get it to post :-( I will try again later .

I am really enjoying blogging now,it is great to be able to "visit" all around the world from my own blogging place...
I like looking at the photos.and catching up with the people that I visit regularly....
it is encouraging to have such nice comments too!
as I was wondering if anyone ever saw my space.
I must confess that when Gavin suggested I went "public"I was very unsure about it ...
look what I would have missed
1)all the lovely people I have "met"
2)seeing all the amazing photos
3)travelling the world for free!
4)back & neck ache from sitting here !...
and so much more
I do need to get a better chair now I sit here so often!! March 30 National computer day?I remember seeing something about a computer day thing ...
somewhere out there!.... I think it's today.
I am having problems with wireless connection again.
It does work... as long as I am plugged into the thing....
so it is not really wireless just now,which is very annoying !!
Anyway ,thought I would take a pic.of my temporary "blogging place"
(going to have a look around now and see if I have the right day)
I was close ...think it is annual spaces day?
Or computer surround day?
maybe !!!!

Just managed to create a list on my space.
It took me ages to work out how to do it ,even with the instructions there on the page!
I am so pleased with myself for working it out though .
Maybe if I keep at it I will get sorted without much help. March 20 Free from the BBCWell I have found something for free without "trouble"...
BBC.co.uk site is safe to get lots of free information and listen to lots of "stuff"...
and it is approved by Gavin !
so with his blessing I can"mess" as much as I like without worrying about the consequences...
just need an extra day in the week to look & listen to it all!
I also need to find out how this msn thing works ,and find out how people get all the "extras" are they free? ha ha
Gavin, don't worry ,I will ask you first before I download it !!!
March 18 Will I ever learn !Will I ever learn ....that when something on the internet comes for free it often brings trouble with it !
I got e -mail from my cousin Nige. and it had a link to down load "incredimail" for free......
so I did .....
when I told my son, Gavin,who runs his own IT business ,he said NOOOOO and growled "I spend time putting things right after these free things take over PC s with their rubbish"....
so it is gone ....
I actually sent 1 e -mail with it and the pinging and strange noises got on my nerves so I will not miss it .
Out of interest I "googled "it and now I understand why I got growled at.
Anyway,I have to obey Gavin as I depend on him to keep my computer running(for free!)
In future I shall consult him BEFORE I download !!!!
or he may start billing me. November 28 wireless again ..As I was writing the title I did think "clueless"was probably more "me".
Gavin exchanged the faulty wireless "thing"
I now have a different one and it works ,so I am free again!

November 26 If at first......I am getting a bit faster at typing now as I 've had a lot of practice in the last few weeks.
The thing is I need to remember to save it before I get distracted and "close"(like I did last time I wrote this blog)
I have got the hang of the photo. album part and as I have now finished 40 days of purpose I will have more time to sort out my pics.and get them in the albums.Still not found out how to put music on the site though.
I just got used to the freedom of being"wireless"and it stopped working!Gavin sorted it so I could still use it but am now back to being "plugged in."The bit that fits in my laptop is not working so is being replaced.asap.
(glad I do not have to pay Gavin a call out fee or I would be very out of pocket! thanks Gavin I appreciate the time you spend helping and encouraging me)
My sister and brother in law had trouble getting their wireless connection to work, and called out a local company ,after several hours and still no connection they were told their computer was broken.
As it is a new laptop and wireless enabled they were concerned and asked Gavin's advice.
It took Gavin only minutes to get it connected. Unfortunately the computer had been "wiped "by the company and the photos.stored on it were lost for ever.
(at least they didn't get a bill for the non connection and wiping of a new computer!) November 21 still not "plain sailing"I just spent about half an hour waffling on and then forgot to save it ****************** no not a swear word just very annoyed with myself!
October 14 It is getting easierMaybe practice is the key to this ,
I do not mind making mistakes ,
all I want to do is to put photos.and a few words on and for them still to be there when I look next time !
If I can do that I will be satisfied with that for now . October 11 is it really simpleWell after several hours I now know how to put pics . in the album .
I did write briefly on here, but guess what ----it is LOST
It could be a painfuil proccess learning how to do this , maybe with wireless it will be more comfortable .....one pain less , I should say !
Monday 24th October.
Well I am now wireless!
I have been on the move with my laptop after Gavin fixed the "thing" for me.
Not that I have moved any further than the kitchen and bedroom,due to the awful weather.
It is good to be able to sit at a table instead of being bent over the box table next to the telephone connection.
Not that any of this is going to help my computing skills!
Never mind though being comfortable is a big help and who knows my skills may improve with more practice ,so thanks Gavin.

It has had a good life and taken more than 10,000 photos .Fergus wonders why I am not carrying the camera everywhere we go 
Today I used Jeff's camera again , only at home though as I find it heavy and cumbersome after being used to my own lighter weight smaller one ,I have to admit it takes a much better photo than mine does/did .So I am trying to decide on a replacement ..something that is light and small but takes a good photo .I have in mind to maybe buy a digital video camera . decisions decisions
